Designing Social Media Content
Overview
Located in the heart of midtown in Manhattan, Soju Haus is a modern, sophisticated Korean bistro serving homemade Korean cuisine paired with Soju. Besides their great food and liquor, the venue is known for offering sociable vibes for gatherings and visually pleasing dining experiences, attracting many visitors in their 20’s and 30’s.
Challenge
By far one of the busiest places in K-town for young adults, Soju Haus’ social media presence has not yet established. In order to engage with current followers and attract potential patrons, I was asked to build yearly promoted Instagram content.
Approach
I approached this project by:
( 1 ) creating monthly-themed content introducing their food and drink menu options as well as their unique dining experience
( 2 ) generating Instagram exclusive events and giveaways, attracting and enticing followers
( 3 ) intensifying their branding by activating Insta-story features (a function where users share content)
( 4 ) encouraging and implementing the idea of a brand philosophy, creating a cohesive visual representation and identity.
Outcome
Over the course of 8 months, Soju Haus affectively met their proposed goal of gaining an influx in online followers as well as new customers. On average, followers’ direct engagement with content has increased by 500% per month.
